In doing so, they created a fun personality test around the topic of nutrition and health, with delightful prizes to be won in the form of delicious product packages.

The Challenge

It is hard to imagine German cuisine without Sauerkraut. Accordingly, many myths are surrounding the cabbage as such. At the same time, the health benefits are hardly ever emphasized. The family-owned company wanted to change this and at the same time raise awareness of its “Mildessa” product range, which focuses on Germany’s unofficial national dish.

The Solution

Hengstenberg then created a playful personality test in which users were encouraged to answer various questions relating to nutrition and health. In addition to a type-check, participants had the chance to win a generous product package with various “Mildessa” delicacies. The campaign was not only prominently advertised on the website, but also on various social media channels.

The Results

A personality test is a powerful tool to increase engagement with a brand. This is because it gives users the validation they are looking for. That’s why the campaign boasted a massive engagement time of a full 108 seconds, as well as a lead conversion of 98%. In addition, Hengstenberg saw a 59% increase in newsletter sign-ups via double opt-in (DOI).
