The Challenge

Homegate recognized the need for an innovative and captivating marketing strategy to differentiate itself in the competitive real estate market, especially during September, the month with the most frequent moves to Zurich. Homegate wanted to attract potential customers and convince them of their brand’s offerings, creating a preference for Homegate’s services over competing platforms.

The company’s goal was to familiarize website visitors with its multifaceted services while also offering them an interactive opportunity to explore the delights of Zurich, the city they were looking to move to soon.

The challenge was multifaceted: to create a marketing strategy that is engaging and innovative, to earn the visitors’ trust, to showcase the diverse attractions of Zurich, and to subtly influence their preference towards Homegate’s services.

In addition to this, it was crucial for Homegate to implement a method that would allow the collection of high-quality leads, ensuring future communications and potentially converting them into loyal customers, thereby fulfilling the company’s aspiration to be the leading choice for real estate services in Zurich.

The Solution

Homegate primarily used social media to promote this campaign, ensuring extensive reach and audience interaction.

The Results

The results of Homegate’s innovative approach were outstanding. Within just one week, the campaign saw over 2,600 participations and generated more than 250 click-throughs to the Homegate guide that was strategically linked at the end of the game.

Moreover, the “Guess the Picture” campaign totaled an average playtime of over 189 seconds, significantly surpassing industry benchmarks and showing how much players were immersed in the game that familiarized them with the landmarks of their future home city. By leveraging the emotional connection and the positive feelings the Guess the Picture campaign produced, Homegate could subconsciously nudge them to use their services instead of a competitor’s.

The striking success of Homegate’s “Guess the Picture” campaign emphasized the effectiveness of implementing gamification to create interactive content to offer engaging customer touchpoints and raise brand awareness.
