Visana is supporting the Olympic sport of 3×3 basketball, which was officially introduced in 2021, at two major events this year, including the “3×3 Trophy” on March 31, 2023, at Zurich’s main station. The Swiss insurance company aimed to not only raise awareness but also highlight its own engagement in this sport. With a custom-designed dropper game, Visana exceeded all of its defined KPIs.
The challenge for Visana was to create awareness for their engagement in the 3×3 basketball field and at the same time link the brand to this increasingly popular sport. The “3×3 Trophy”, a spectacular 3×3 basketball event, provided an ideal opportunity for this purpose, as it attracted an international field of participants and a broad audience.
To overcome this challenge, Visana promoted the event beforehand with an interactive basketball dropper game. The goal was to catch as many basketballs as possible while avoiding the falling volleyballs. Among all participants, there were vouchers from Nike worth CHF 200 to be won. The game was promoted through Visana’s social media channels and their website.
The interactive campaign was a remarkable triumph, with 85% of visitors being unique, 87% completing the game, and 92% of participants leaving their contact information. Among them were some top scorers who interacted with the game and the brand for more than 1,200 seconds (about 20 minutes). These remarkable results were achieved by offering players an entertaining and rewarding way to engage with Visana and the sport itself.
